I grew up in the Chicago area and attended Taylor University in Upland, Indiana. After graduating from Taylor, I spent two years teaching second grade in the Indianapolis Public Schools system. I’ve been teaching at Rockford Christian since the fall of 2007. My teaching responsibilities have included most everything from kindergarten P.E. to 7th grade math. A constant in my teaching career at Rockford Christian has been the Environmental Program. I enjoy being able to open students’ eyes to see amazing ways that God reveals Himself to us through nature and creation.
Outside of school, I enjoy running, spending time with my family and friends (especially my sweet little nieces and nephews), traveling to explore new places, and being involved at my church (Crossroads Bible Church). Most of my summers include time at Upper Peninsula Bible Camp in the UP where I volunteer in the kitchen, counseling, and helping direct programming.
I count it a privilege and an honor to be involved in teaching students at Rockford Christian. I am so glad to be able to share about the incredible love the Father has for them, how He’s given each of them different skills and talents, and the great gift we have in our savior, Jesus!!
