Week of December 9

Homework: The password for homework 11 is Christmas Program. Students should study week 3 of the United States Challenge as well as Isaiah 9:6, our December memory verse.

Porque nos ha nacido un niño,
    se nos ha concedido un hijo;
la soberanía reposará sobre sus hombros,
    y se le darán estos nombres:
Consejero admirable, Dios fuerte,
    Padre eterno, Príncipe de paz.

Classroom Needs: We are in need of a couple of things in our classroom. First, our microwave takes a very long time to warm up, and does not have easy buttons to press in order to select an amount of time. Students spend a large portion of their eating time waiting in line for the microwave, and when they use it, they have to turn a dial, just “guessing” how much time it will be. If you have an extra microwave sitting around anywhere, or you are able to purchase a used microwave, or inexpensive new microwave, it would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if you are able to provide a microwave so that we don’t end up with more than one 🙂

Second, we are in need of disinfectant wipes for general cleaning in the classroom. Thanks for considering contributing to our classroom!

Math Test: If you have not done so already, please have a quick conversation with your child about their division test, sign it, and send it back to school by Wednesday.

Christmas Program Reminder: The Christmas program will be held at the Center for Arts and Worship (CAW) at Grand Rapids Christian High School on Monday, December 16 at 7 pm. Please have your child arrive at the Center for Arts and Worship at Grand Rapids Christian High School at 6:30, with the performance beginning at 7 pm.  4th grade will meet in the choir room; 3rd grade will meet in the band room.  Students should dress in their holiday best!
Rehearsal for the Christmas Program is on Monday, December 16 during the school day. Please, if at all possible, avoid scheduling any appointments for your 3rd & 4th-grade children 9:00 am — 11:00 am that day.
