- Homework: Homework 15 will be due on Friday. The password is Fractions. Thanks for responding to your child in their PWJ and returning it to school by Friday.
- Recorders: Need to be brought to school on Mondays and Thursdays.
- Conference time is coming up at the end of the month and beginning of March. Please look for the email from the office to select the times that would work best for your family. I look forward to meeting with you to share in your child’s progress.
- Eagle Book Award reading will begin this week. Mrs. Boss has chosen 20 picture books for the students to enjoy! They are always outstanding written and illustrated stories. The purpose is for students to share these books with their families. Students may only check out 1 book at a time. Please encourage your child to choose a book from the library, read it at home and share it with their family, and return it the next day. Then, they pick another book and continue through the 6 weeks. If students read 10 books, they will get to vote for GRCES’ Top Eagle Book! If they read all 20 books, they will be invited to a dessert reception in the library! I feel strongly that 4th graders should be able to read all 20 books. This will take commitment and responsibility from the student because it needs to happen outside of school. However, Mrs. Boss will read a selected few books during recess for students who would like to take this time to hear a book read aloud. These books may also be checked out from the public library.
