I grew up in Holland, Michigan, and moved to Grand Rapids to attend Calvin College (Go Knights!) This will be my fourth year teaching fourth grade Spanish Immersion at Grand Rapids Christian and I couldn’t be more excited.
In my free time, I love hiking, camping and enjoying the natural beauty of Michigan as well as other places around the globe. I have spent time in the beautiful countries of Honduras and Peru, where I learned much of my Spanish. In the summers, I work at a guest ranch in Montana, spending my days off hiking, camping and floating down the Yellowstone River!
I met my husband while working in the West, and got married last year. He is a fifth grade teacher at North Holland Elementary in Holland.
I have a passion for teaching and the Spanish language, and I absolutely love fourth graders. I cannot wait to get to know each of your kids this year, as we all find our place in our classroom family.
